nice axe Vicky, you are lucky to own such a beautiful axe. Sure Jarrod won't mind you entering it.
I had 3 guitars selected for the top 3 but now you have thrown a spanner in the works !

WTF!!!!! is nothing sacred . Time to change my pass word me thinks.
OK well CTS pots and orange caps and jack plug, bone nut ,larger trust rod cover made, color tone dyes, Gloss acrylic front sides and neck with a satin back.
As your aware it's the wifes.
no harm done Jarrod, its one of my current top 4 picks (so far)
narrowing the top 4 down is going to be throw darts at a dartboard !
What a cool hijack. Gotta love it. It's a beautiful guitar, Jarrod. I'm glad it's in the comp!
Awesome ES Jarrod. Vicky - how about a sound demo :). It's a fantastic build and the GOTM wouldn't be complete without it. Amazing job.
cheers,
Gav.
Finally, here she is... The Stratopester!

Hey Callum, that is a really slick effort, very nice job. Love the logo.
The finish is really even and looks great with the white and silver, bet it sounds as good as it looks, well done
Well done Pest! Huge improvement shown. Can hardly wait to see your next one. Good luck in the comp!
Great finish on the Strat Callum. You should be well pleased.
Very Mark Knoppler pest and I love the signature on the back.
Looks cool man, it's great to still see a bit of grain showing through instead of a solid colour, nice job;-)
You did it!
She's in!
Love it man!
I was starting to think that this was nothing more than a CGI guitar but here she is in the flesh.
Its a cool build mate and I'm pleased to see it entered. You going to upload some sounds?
@Stan yeah she sounds as good as she looks mate!
@Gavmeister cheers mate, I love the improvement here too!

Hey Budi, just in time, I was just about to contact the judges, so yes, we can include yours in the June comp. Nice looking guitar.
well done Budi and Pest, two more nice entries, love that saffron flame cap Budi and Pest the strat is very Knopfler, big improvement on the last build cuz !
Ads can you please email me the drill for judging, cheers !
Yeah, I know, it's been said before, but I sure am glad I'm not having to pick a winner out of this lot. A fantastic collection of guitars built by 'regular' people. I am constantly amazed by what can be done. And this is in no small part by the contribution of everyone on the forum who offers advice and knowledge. Thanks to all of you, especially DB and Gav (listed alphabetically not in order of importance).
But not to take anything away from the entrants. Excellent work guys. All the best!
Thanks for the entries everyone, after a slow start we ended up with 7 entries, which is on par for previous months.
Another very tough month to judge. It's going to come down to picking up small mistakes (if there are any!) and the personal preferences of the judges.
July GOTM is now open.
another fine batch of axes. Keep em coming!!!!!!!
Terrific to see the Stratopester finally! Well done, young man!
Cheers Glenn, it's great to also have you back!
And the winner is...
Thanks to our Judges for their efforts in another very tough round.
In third place for June Guitar of the Month...
Trevor's IC-1 "Ice Fan"
https://fbcdn-sphotos-d-a.akamaihd.n...32746788_n.jpg
"Wow! another awesome build and worthy of a podium finish. Headstock is sensational. Putting the mirror back together must have been quite a task."
"Amazing attention to detail and coming up with a stunning guitar."
"A brilliant tribute to Kiss this axe is a very good replica. Must have been hard work getting all the mirror cut, glued and grouted, I think you would be rock and rolling all night with this cool axe."
There was only 0.1 point separating 1st and 2nd this month.
In second place, our perennial podium placer, Jarrod and his ES-1G he made for Vicki.

"Another well finished build Jarrod and an axe your wife must be proud of. Well worth entering this axe has a classic burst that makes this model stand out in the crowd."
"Impeccable presentation, attention to detail and gloss... Wow!"
"Jarrod's paint work is brilliant as always. The burst is sensational and I haven't seen him in the wiring rehab clinic so he must have the patience of Job or is brilliant at wiring too!"
And, the Pit Bull Gull Guitars June 2014 Guitar of the Month goes to...
Bargeloob's LP-1 "Blacktop"

No huge surprises here, well done Barge. Great work on all the entries this month.
Ooh. I've been waiting for this post. Honestly, I reckon anyone could've won this month, they were all great in their own style. So congrats to Bargie first of all and and strong 'hurrah' to the rest of you.
Jarrod, I know you didn't win this time so if you want to try again with another guitar for Vicki I am happy to take that one off your hands. Sorry Vicki, I just love those jazz guitars!
Well done Bargie, tough win against some outstanding entries.
Trev, that iceman is something special, well executed.
Congrats Bargie, it was the Dog that really sold it ;) Nahh, really nice build!
