masked and ready for stain...

3mm tape for top (about 1mm wide on face) then 6mm to the edge. Lost track of time but probably took about an hour... I'll probably need to do this again but i'll explain that later...

now where are the rubber gloves?
Upstairs next to the handcuffs and the Swarfega? ;)
Did you use short lengths of tape on the concave curve sections? That tape does have a tendency to pull away from the middle of the curve by itself if you use too long a piece.
Have you checked the spacing for the tuning machines, or are you swapping out the kit elephant ears? I know some people have had issues with lack of real estate on the headstock.
@Simon Barden - Haha and no I didn’t - one piece!
Fretworn - no but will do, thanks

I'll be back when I've removed most of it...
OOOOO that's come up special, i really like the purple and the way it has worked with the four planks, it almost makes it look like a design feature. I though it looked good with the solid colour but the rubbed back grain pop is beautiful.
Nice work Booooooom.
That'll look great with some clear over it - it's amazing what that does to stained wood.
