yes a hanger is how most people leave the body/neck stain to cure. Don't apply the stain too heavily and there's no chance of runs.
Before you start have a look at the control cover you will need to recess it now before staining would be best.
Also fit the stereo jack and make sure you can get the nut to thread on. You may need to trim the inside of the jack hole a bit
Hey Wokka and Rubens .I have the hip shots and the Babicz and in truth the Babicz is far superior .Especially for intonation and hight adjustments.
Ok I have the jack sorted. Its just the recess for the control cover that's worrying me. Having never done something like this before im nor sure where to start. Any advice is much appreciated. Thanks!
Hi Ruben have you got a dremel or rotary tool ? Trace the outline of the cover plate and very carefully use a mini router bit or sanding disc to take off about 3mm recess, When you get close to the traced edge regularly test the plate fit

OK I've found a bridge which is 2 and 13/16 inches, which I'm pretty certain is 17mm. The dimensions of the base shape of th bridge are the same as the one that came with the kit as well. Don't think this one is really really good quality but its gold and it still looks awesome. Maybe i'll go for better hardware on my next build (if I get there!)
Ok...so a mate of mine has an air dremel. He works in a furniture restoration joint and is gonna help me cut out that recess. Cant wait to get it over and start on the staining stage.
So...im not thinking that with gold hardware I want a dark stain, not the colourless dingotone kit I bought. What do people suggest? Should I use true oil or is there something else that PBG offers? I'll like a dark oil colour like my current base which i posted pictures of earlier. And...if I am going to use something else can I send my dingotone kit back?
And again I guess I dont want it too dark so that I cant see the grain, as that'll take all the character our of the body.
