Yes mate a good session was had :)
Perfect day here in Melbourne to get some finishing done
Neck finished, give it a few days to dry, a bit of a polish out and away we go, i will get the tuners on.
The body has a bit more to go yet, maybe 3-4 coats.

Heading to the bush for the day tomorrow, so everything can have a nice drying period without me poking around.
Next finish my wiring loom.
Polished and cleaned up the neck, next i need to do the frets and nut.
I took all the tape off and of course it leaves sticky residue on the frets, but i have some Lemon Oil i have been using for years, this bottle since the late 90's, not only does a litttle go along way to hydrated the fretboard, with a bit of elbow grease it removes the tape residue.

And the nut removal? i just took it out with light finger pressure, glad that wasn't staying in and not checked.

Mock up with the slugs on, geez this is a heavy headstock now.
Will straighten and install them properly later its too close to beer o'clock .

Are you going to install the tuners back-to-front like that. I suppose modern enclosed tuners shouldn't have a problem with string pressure separating the gears.
No just threw them on so i could check the slug weight, already around the right way and spaced ready for the screws.
