wow ok Fred cheers for the explanation. Awesome amount of options available. Should be a beast of a SG !
So have you worked out how many different pickup options there are ? Must be over 30 I guess !
So do you need a small screwdriver or something to shift the micro switches on the surrounds ?

I did work out the number of switching options... it should actually be 49x taking into account the 6 way switch plus push-pull pot to get all 3x pups at once... and with 4 options per humbucker...
What is the point of having 49x options you will ask??? Well... I'm not sure... but I can do it! :o
It actually started as a bit of a 'test-bed' guitar that I wanted to use to compare how switching humbucker between series, parallel and single coil impacts the sound... then I found I liked the idea of having a P90 in the middle (especially since the screws are in the middle of the pup... symmetry!)...then I didn't like having switches all over the guitar as I wanted it to look 'normal', so I found the 6 ways idea, then the triple shot idea... too many ideas for a single guitar!
Anyway, this one is all about building something I can't buy...

Forgot to answer the question about the switches, you can slide them with your nail. Very easy, but not a performance guitar at all...

cheers Fred, all makes sense what you have done now !
At least you can experiment and find the sounds you like best

"because I can" the only excuse ever needed. :)
Love the whole concept

Finally found some time to get back to the SG... time seems to disappear between trip back home, building a house, and everyday rubbish... anyway.
Did some wet and dry sanding, 1200 to 12,000, and started to buff it with usual car products.
Photos before and after below, still need more buffing.
