Ah sanding....we know sanding.....
Love the rebirth
Three weeks of heat in the shed was enough to fully cure the clear coat, but it was very orange peely. Friday afternoon, sporadically though saturday and then sunday morning was spent wet sanding through the grits. 800, 1000, 1200 and then 1500.
That's when I sanded through and knocked off some blue.

Bugger.
Oh well, it's just a little, I'll push on...then it happened again... Oh well, it's the back and it's not that bad. Then it happened again....on the front.
I give up. I swear this build is cursed. I might consider the dreaded relic option, but I hate that idea. I might end up stripping it right back (for the 4th time!!!!) and starting again or I might just bash my head into a wall until I pass out. Either way...
Townshended:D
Love it.
Argh bugger!
I've done that on a couple of edges on my 330 build. Despite knowing that edges are always vulnerable and to be very careful. I enlisted my set of coloured Sharpies (I got mine off eBay). There's normally a colour very close to your finish and by applying and smudging, then wiping with a cloth (and sometimes applying and blending two colours), I've done some fully acceptable running repairs rather than have to get the stain out and try and stain a very small bit of the finish. You'll still have to clear coat again, but that's only a matter of time and waiting.
Bummer Pabs, I feel your pain having done the same several times on various builds.
When sanding back on a car I'd normally tape any edges and transitions and concentrate on the flat or larger areas. The edges buff up on their own once you start with the cutting compound. Might be worth trying next time.
