Thanks guys, but its not beyond your skill set! its just an inlay sticker, a decent one at that and tru oil over it built up then wet sanded and polished well.

Magnet: Alnico 5
Wire: 42 AWG Plain enamel (From Brocott in the UK)
Wound counter-clockwise
Its reading at 8.65k Ohms Resistance and 4.91 Inductance.

The hot leg of the capacitor looks dangerously near shorting out on the back of the tone pot. I'd have stuck some heat shrink on it or else soldered it to the pot lug much nearer the lug.
Thanks Simon. Yes, well there were quite a few issues least of which I forgot the earth wire to the bridge. Good thing I always wax the post hole bushings! What did you do with the aluminium shielding tape for continuity?

Yes McCreed, I tested it with a multi-meter, continuity was not an issue. I did not have to solder between. I just made sure the tape went over the edges of the cavity so contact was made with the aluminium tape on the inside of the back plate.:cool:Quote:

Much much cheaper than copper tape
The slug tape is copper not alu. Quite cheap from BGS too. Conducts beautifuly and as easy as the expensive stuff to work with. I usually lay some thin kanthal wire between cavities for easy continuity.Quote:
