Really good value kits, about 1/2 the cost of stewmac kitshttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...68dce94a7b.jpg

Hmmm, very interesting.
Hope they cost lest than my pickups
Coming together swimmingly, Andy. Damn that neck pickup looks cool!
I think it worked out to be about $40 for the set

Those pickups look really cool, will be interested in hearing what the guitar sounds like once it's all finished, Howlin Wolf was a very well known, and famous American Blues guitarist, he's been a big influence on other American Blues guitarists over the years, very highly regarded.
Thanks doc....having some issues with the pickup winder at the moment....please stand by...:o
But you're the pickup winder....
and that pickup winder is getting flogged at work!!!
You just can't get the staff these days.
Got the string throighs done the other day. Go forward progress!https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...eb26110ee2.jpg

Badass:cool:
awesome work Andy, they both look tops. Does the left one have a P90 neck and the other a single ? If you want to do away with a pickguard you can drill the neck pup wires straight down the centre via the neck pocket. You have been a busy boy. How much more fun are scratch builds ? You have 100% of the input on the entire body shape/cavities etc
Have you drilled the jack holes ? They are quite long. I use a 22mm spade drill. You don't have to drill the hole length. Just needs to be deep enough for the jack. I just drill a 10mm drill for the wires once deep enough for the jack lugs
Dingotone.
Would I chose anything else? nope.
One Tele will be DT Natural, the other will be DT Butterscotch.
Test scraps
One piece of scrap has natural timbermate on one side and ebony timbermate the other with DT Natural (2 coats)
The other piece of scrap has natural timbermate on one side and ebony timbermate the other with DT Butterscotch (1 coat)

cool. I don't mind heavy axes. I reckon it may help the sustain a bit. Alot of my scratch bodies have been heavy but have a nice tone.
I edited my above comment about the jack hole.
Thanks for the tip Wokks re: Jack hole, I'll keep it in mind
Nice work Andy. Tend to like the natural timber mate look on the vertical LH face in those shots. Ebony seemed to look more dirty rather than enhancing the grain. Does it look better in the flesh?
Yeah it does Waz. The picture doesn't pick up the lustre of the DT in light. Ebony looks good on the natural but no good on the Butterscotch.
Suppose I am just in a 'Natural' mindset at the moment with finishing off the Blonde MMB-4 build.
