I brewed up some super dark roast for the black in these.
No, not really. I have sinned. I used some 'c-c-chemical' stain from b-b-b...that store. Feast Watson sampler. Sorry.
At this stage I'm almost ready for the final coat. I'm relatively happy with the colours and flame veneer on this. As the Coolangatta Gold has been applied the finish has gone all 'tiger' on me so I'm going to run with the theme. The Nannup Tiger.
For the finishing, I've probably got 1 more intensifying coat and then the final coats. Do you steel wool lightly between final coats?
For the next steps is it:
1. Shielding the electrics cavities. Can you put the electrics in before setting the neck?
2. Setting the neck? I'll need to get some instruction on this part, and the neck set glue from the store.
3. Wiring. I've got a sparky mate to help out with this, but will get the diagrams too.

Nice work with the stain mate! Looks great.
In respect to your q's
1. You can work on the electrics at any time, because you will build the loom on a separate piece of plastic or cardboard. I probably wouldn't put them in the actual guitar until you have finished the finish though.
2. Setting the neck, the pitbull video doesnt work ATM, it seems a bit more scary than it actually is. Grab some titebond from you local hardware and read Gav's post here http://www.buildyourownguitar.com.au...ead.php?t=1895
I would probably again, wait till you have finished the finish before gluing the neck, just because its easier to work on the guitar body and neck separately.
3. wiring diagrams are here http://www.pitbullguitars.com/wiring-diagrams/ and videos here http://www.pitbullguitars.com/videos/#mg. Give it a go yourself if you can....its half the fun!!!! if you stuff it up just post a picture with the problem and someone here can help (most likely Wierdbits)
Good luck!!
That shade of DT CG looks great.
Really appreciate your help Andy. I'll check out the links you've supplied, also the recheck the staining vids cos I do want to move on to the other stuff including actually hearing what happens when it plugs in!
Maybe something like FWaaaannng ang ang aaaaang!
