Starting to look very cool indeed.

Hey Jacob the guitar is coming out amazing. I really like your headstock design. Looking forward to seeing this guitar when it's all strung up and rocking.
I have finished the soldering of the guitar, it took a couple visits to my uncle's workshop and it worked out great. We tested the connection by tapping the pickups with a screw driver while it was plugged in, at first it didn't work because the output Jack was grounded out, as it was touching the Copper tape the we used to shield the guitar. We peeled out the tape inside the hole for the Jack, after that it worked as it was supposed to! Here are a few pictures of the wiring.
Thanks,
Jacob
well done Jacob, you look like a pro with the soldering iron and wiring diagram on the bench.
You must be close to screwing the neck in and stringing her up ?
Here are a few more pictures
nice one Jacob. So the black wire on the output jack is going to the hot tip is that correct ? You since must have put an earth wire on the other lug.
You do know there is a thin clear plastic protection sheet on the pickguard so make sure you remove that before you screw the pickguard in place.
Looking good, love the black and dark green look
Looking great Jacob! Will be great to see it complete.
cheers,
Gav.
Yes we made sure to remove the plastic
Thanks,
Jacob
We are about to apply a lacquer finish to the front of the headstock, here's how it looks before and what we are using.
Jacob
Well done Jacob, love black on green theme and the label blends well with headstock.
Budi
lovin the colour scheme and the finish looks nice and deep, the headstock is going to set this off nicely -cool design
Hi Jacob,
The guitar is coming together really nice. Love the colour. The shielding looks top notch.
Can't wait to see the guitar all strung up and rocking some tunes
Cheers,
Brian
The head and neck are all finished, we used carnauba wax on the neck. We are about to head over to my uncle's workshop to put on the machine heads and attach the neck.
nice one Jacob, the neck and headstock looking great. Noticed you have a new username !
turning into a great build, headstock and logo look great
We have attached the neck and machine heads but I have a few questions about the bridge...how do I make sure it is lined up with the nut? The demo video uses a guitar in which the pickguard has a groove for it whereas mine doesn't. Also should I have it right up to the pickguard and just adjust the individual places where the strings go? A side note about the volume/tone nobs... Are they supposed to be so high up and how do I tighten them on since when I turn over the guitar the caps sometimes fall off.
Thanks, hopefully I can get a bit of advice,
Jacob (kooyfish26) I was using my dad's account by accident last post.
On a completely different note, how do I add a profile picture?
Jacob
Hey Jacob,
to line up the bridge you have to put both E strings on, then line the 2 strings up as central as you can to the humbucker poles and the offset of the strings on the fingerboard should be fairly even.
To lower the tone and volume knobs you need to get another nut on the shaft below the pickguard so it sits lower. If the knobs aren't tight I've wedged a screwdriver in the split of the pot shaft to slightly widen it - do this carefully.

We put on the bridge and the string guides, we strung it up, then adjusted the intonation and the height of the strings. I can officially say that I have finished! The only thing that I might do is file the nut, but otherwise, everything works great!
I will try to take some better pictures and maybe a video of me playing it,
Jacob
well done Jacob looks excellent, look forward to a demo video
Looks killer Jacob! You gotta be stoked with the result. Would love to hear a sound demo if you can organise it! Great work. Looks like a definite GOTM entry to me!
cheers,
Gav.
Very nice.
Looking great Jacob! Main thing is are you happy with it?
Jacob, that is an axe to be proud of. Love the colour, and how the headstock follows the decal contour. Enjoy playing it!
As Gav suggested I would be entering this into the GOTM competition.
I've finished the minor touch ups and have entered it into the February GOTM. I will try to give a video demo of it in the next little while.
Thanks,
Jacob
That's a nice looking tele, the headstock shape fits well with the logo, well done :)
Excellent job Jacob! The black on green looks great!
Definite contender this little green gem. I really love the creative headstock profile too.
Very nice result Jacob, looks good, love the green
