Pics of invertocaster, the trans blue that the lovely lady at the local paint store tinted for me (oil based clear stain) and the slurry mix of timber mate (pine coloured) that I've grain filled with after sanding to 400grit. Will continue sanding up after it sets.

looking good Gordon and I like the logo. Might be worth trying the food colouring stain and wait for maybe couple of weeks to see if it fades.
Bonus getting a reverse headstock !

Looking good Shoey.
For everyone's information, we have a few of the STA-1 Ash Strats with Reverse headstock, in rosewood or maple fretboard. The code on the site is STA-1R (specify in the notes whether you want rosewood or maple fretboard).
It looks like Phil might have shipped a few of the reverse headstock kits out by mistake, thinking they were standard STA-1 kits. However, only Shoey questioned it, so it looks like the others all decided to keep them. Good news.
Anyhoo, if anyone wants an Ash ST kit with a reverse headstock, they are available.

hey Shoey, 1st coat doesn't look much like hte paint colour but keep applying coats and the colour should be closer to the blue paint
