Guitars stay in the house - just if I stacked up the unbuilt kits - we aint got no where else for them to go. My man cave is also more of a man alcove than a cave due to kids toys and coffee roasting kit in the shed.Quote:

Just to really get up every ones nose, after I finish the Jag Baritone and the Jag VI I am building a Riccy 4001.
And just in case anyone has any ideas of trying to steal this one, we have two dogs and a psychotic workshop guard cat :)
yes DB I saw the cat yesterday and the cable lock for the Riccy 4001, you should be able to keep that in your collection !
A "Ricky 400x" Kit??? ... oh yessss! make that a +2 for that idea! (count me in!)
The punchiest sounding basses in the history of Rock 'n' Roll ... and certainly one of the coolest looking!
Although usually a 6-stringer myself, I occasionally have the opportunity to play bass (as stand in) with a mates band and would be playing a R'backer now if they were in my price-range which of course they're not (champagne taste on a bore-water budget!)
If Bass greats of the likes of Chris Squire (Yes), Joey DeMaio (Manowar), Geddy Lee (Rush) and Geezer Butler (Black Sabbath) to name but a mere few, chose to use the immortal Rickenbacker as their primary bass, then absolutely useless pretenders like myself can do very little wrong by following their lead (or bass as the case might be! :-) )
Put a Rickenbacker 400x kit in your product line-up and I can tell you that you'll have at least one sold right here!
That's +1 from me on the Ricky 400x kit as well. This would be awesome, and I would grab one in a heartbeat.

Ah, DB and I were extolling the many merits of the Rickenbacker line yesterday.... I only wish I had the influence on the range of kits!
