I went pretty close Fred, couldnt get all the machine marks out, lots of hours in this, would hate t have done it for someone, it would of cost a fortune.
Hey Tony, which wipe-on Poly are you're using? You mentioned Poly U?
Have you used FeastWatson Mastertouch Wipe-On Poly before and do you know if it's suitable?
I'm thinking I'll give Poly a go for the next project... :)
Cheers
I am using Min Wax its the 1st time i have used any wipe on poly, seems to be doing the job fine.
Its just had quite a few days to cure, now i can get in and finish it off now i am back home.
Looking goooood!
Had a bit of time to put some finish on the back and sides, lots to go yet.
A very nice drying day here, this can go and hang up for 24 hours, then the top will get another coat.

Another coat on the top, a few more then i will start to buff it out.
I have decided the pickups that are going in it are out of my Blacktop Telecaster (Duncan Design Made In China around the 12k mark) and the new Lawrence L90's can go in the tele blacktop.
The tops wringing wet but we are getting there, hopefully after Easter the neck can go on
