sounds awesome Fred, you should get just about every possible sound with that setup. I think the standard rhythm and treble plate will look fine or a blank black one.

You could even just turn the standard Treble/Rhythm one over. It's normally just got some double sided tape on the back, so that just needs removing, then stick some more on what would be the front (it's only really there to initially help locate the plate as the selector knob nut holds it on tight).
Have a look at Hell guitars discs, some have no writing

I wanted a custom one that said "Rebel / Trouble"
Cheers @Dedman. A bit too 'hell's angels' for this guitar! 😉
Sticker has gone on... but i'll have to reshape the rod cover or find a smaller one as it extends too far.
I considered cutting of some of the sticker but I liked it as is. I reckon I'll reshape it, it's not meant to be a feature.

Doh!!!! it still looks good:cool:
I like the sticker. I agree that you'll need to reshape the truss-rod cover as there's no point covering it up. I'd keep the two-hole end the same and reduce the size of the rounded end.
That sticker looks so good Fred - the gold on the black is killer. Pity about the Truss Rod cover, but at least it's not a huge pain to reshape
Big milestone today, glued the neck.
I had measured before starting the finish and had marked where the neck was meant to go with a couple of lines.
Double checked before gluing, and glued it.
I always put too much glue... even if I know it doesn't need to...
Anyway, cleaned it all up before it cured and it is now waiting for the glue to dry.
I'll then be able to finish the joint between neck and body with the same poly. Should look seamless hopefully

Always an anxiously nervous stage with set-neck builds. Looks like you done a good job.
Clamps are off and looks pretty good.
I tried to fill the tiny gap between neck and body with a slurry of ebony timbermate. We'll see if it filled it once dried.
Also applied a 10th coat of poly on the headstock, looking good.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...8c5363547a.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...c6c9b4f268.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...45ead3d7d9.jpg
