Had a few issues, had to cut it out twice after bending it accidentally, thinking I had it flat until it was in place. Stainless is much harder to work with than the brass I had used on the last one. Lots of clear coats filled a few errors LOL

Ahhh, that would certainly explain it. Nothing worse that having something fight you the entire way!
You've done a great job there, Dedman, well done.
(Can I just point out that the selector switch surround looks slightly wonky to me in that pic, so might lose you a few points in GOTM).
I'ts all straight, might just be reflections angles the way I was holding my mouth when i took the pic ;D
It's just that it's got two little dots on in what I'd imagine would be the centreline, and if you visually join them up and draw a line between them, that line isn't parallel with the strings.
Sorry, I do obsess sometimes about little visual niggles.
Love thid build Deddy. These are one of the best playig kits in the PBG stable IMO. Awesome job.
cheers,
Gav.
Hi Gav, just wondering how you rate the RC-1 kit as both Deddy and myself are curiously contemplating building one at some stage. As Dedman said, this one doesn't have much grunt acoustically due to very small f sound holes and tend to think the Riccy might be the same and would appreciate your feedback.
Sorry to hijack the thread Dedman but figured you wouldn't mind as it sort of relates to you to.
Cheers, Waz
I dont know how i missed this entire build but man... literally at a loss for words, black... the filtertrons, I would buy this if I seen it hanging in a guitar shop on looks alone <3
Update on this, I spent a morning redoing the set up, I wasn't happy with it. ended up taking the bridge off and taking probably 1mm off the top of the ebony base, fiddled with the truss rod, adjusted pick up height. It's like a new guitar! It has a great low action, the intonation is spot on and the pick ups are really sparkly. A morning well spent.
