And it floats!!!
So, it's been some time since I posted and this guitar is my favourite guitar in the collection, sounds beautiful and plays wonderful. However I bought a strap for it today and some nice black strap locks, and it got me wondering where to screw them to get the best balance, is there a way to check this? Hoping my family here on the PBG forum would have more of an idea than me
Maybe try putting the strap button on the neck plate?
Hey Kurt I usually drill and fit the bottom pin about halfway so in line with centre of bridge. Then fit the strap and hold the other end of the strap around the neck heel to test the balance. Not much space to screw on the top horn so you may have to screw into the neck heel.
@ Pest how do you screw a pin into a neck plate? Weld it?haha the neck screws are way too thick to put through the pin.
Kurt can you please post a pic of the back of the axe to see possible front pin locations?
I have seen it done before but I think it was done with a thinner screw and some filling of the holes / gaps....
BC Rich seem to put theirs as far forward on the horn as possible.

But I've also seen them mounted further back towards the switch cover plate, or further forward, on the tip of the horn. I guess it's all just personal preference as to where you would like yours.
You could do this...
