yeah ok DB interesting experiment. Looks like the bridge pup will be almost hard up against the bridge.

So are Tonys wound J pups going in this build ?

@Woks. Bridge pup is about 10mm off the bridge.
Keeping Tony's pups for a custom build thats floating around somewhere in my brain........

@Fretty. Hoping it will go more solid after 3 coats, if not I will have to spike the mix with some more white base.

Sneaky peek at finish..
Left it for 2 weeks after last coat, still not fully cured but still got a nice shine.
The funny marks are reflections off the window.

Subtle, I like it.

Plugged her in and WOWZERS, my pickup placement experiment certainly has given this beast a whole different type of nasty 😀

Crank it up on the bridge and Rammstien out or dial it back on the neck for some nice smooth blues tones.
Definitely going to replicate this build in some exotic timbers..

nice one DB looks excellent. You know you have the control plate flipped or is than intentional ?

what does the small switch do on the control plate, assume for turning the LEDs on/off ?

Did the tele bass's run with the guitar style control plate and 3 way switch ?

EDIT is there a battery box on the back of the axe for the LED's ?
