    It is. My GST-1's ash body weighs 2.5kg on its own, without neck or hardware.

    Thanks Simon. Yeh I was on the fence about the fret markers for quite a while but decided that for this particular one I wanted as little as possible disrupting the Sheoak medullary rays.

    Yep the only things left to go on are the strings and string trees. I knew from the beginning that this was going to be a light guitar because the Cedar was quite light even before I cut the body shape out. From a weight perspective it would make a really nice gigging guitar for someone, however the downside is that the timber is also a bit softer than I would like which means it would get knocked around a bit. Although to be fair my Gibson SG Faded is exactly the same, you basically just look at the body and it gets little dents.
