The six Australian state outlines + Tasmania + a 12th fret full Australia outline and one southern cross, for the 9 normal marker positions?

You could always have the Southern cross on the headstock, and 7 pointed stars on the fingerboard with the larger federation star as the 12th fret.

I have a Southern cross transfer on my main bass.

Haha thanks everyone for the suggestions.

To summarise the list we have:

    Kangaroos
    The Big Prawn
Stars with the Southern Cross at the 12th
    Spiders
    Snakes
    Sharks
    Boomerangs
    Bush Hats
Footballs, Meat Pies, Kangaroos and Holdens
The state and territory outlines with the whole of Aus as the 12th
Starts with Federation Star as the 12th and Southern Cross on Headstock
    The Big Merino
    Goulburn Supermax (haha)
    Lamingtons
    Thongs
    Hills Hoist

I'm still unsure, I actually have an idea but I have to be honest it is out of my depth and not sure I could pull it off.

I saw this PRS and thought it would be cool to do an Australian image that is a collage of the iconic things but I am nowhere near artistic enough to blend everything together and make it look good and not tacky. And the inlaying would be incredibly difficult. I suppose if I could find an airbrush artist that could be an option.

That guitar makes me think of the Sydney skyline.

Just use a meter to check that there's continuity between the copper tape and the silver scratchplate shielding. That silver stuff often has a plastic coating on the back, so doesn't give continuity. In that case, just run some copper up to under a pot.

I usually go right over it just to be safe. I've also found that the conductivity of the silver stuff can be hit or miss, but I suppose it depends on where you got it (Genuine Fender? Unbranded MIC off ebay?).
You can remove it, but it seems to really stay stuck so just easier to cover it with copper.

Haha I'm not sure if "favourite" and "politician" can ever be in the same sentence.
