    DST-1 Build

    Hi Guys,
Greetings from Melbourne. Name's Harvey and I'm a first time builder. I'm getting my DST-1 Kit delivered on Friday. I was hoping to get some input on the finish of the guitar and what stain/paint would be required to get to a finish similar to this 79 Strat. .

    Welcome aboard Harvey.

Your image hasn't worked so hard to respond. There are a number of ways of getting images to appear in your posts, I use this method:

    Build 1 - Shoegazer MK1 JMA-1
    Build 2 - The Relliecaster TL-1
Build 3 - The Black Cherry SG AG-1
    Build 4 - The Sonicaster TL-1ish
    Build 5 - The Steampunker Bass YB-4
    Build 6 - The Howling Gowing ST-1

I reckon it's a fairly close resemblance to McCreed's Telecaster.
He'll probably be along any minute...

    BTW here's what I saw

Oh silly me didn't see it was a link.

If you put (img) in front of the picture and (/img) after it but use the square brackets ----> [ the image will display in your post and not as a link.

Fixed! Thanks for the help Sonic. There are a couple of questions that I have regarding that smooth finish, mostly regarding the process of sanding/filling and staining etc, so any help would be much appreciated.
