    Cheap Fuzz Pedal recommendations

I'm thinking the missing sound on my pedal board is fuzz.

    What I like about fuzz:
    • Thick sounding
    • Over the top hard clipping

What I don't like about fuzz:
    • Ridiculous bottom end
    • Over the top glitchy 8-bit computer game sounds

I believe I want something silicone rather than germanium based, with at least a level and gain control. I'd like some control over tone if I could get it.

    My budget would be <$100AUD

Guitar will be bridge: humbucker, middle: P90, neck: Tele single coil neck pick up.
Amp will be Fender Hot Rod Deluxe.

    Can anyone recommend anything?
I'm not above going for Behringer pedals (it'll be accessed via loop switcher, so enclosure wouldn't be an issue) although I wouldn't know the difference between their two offerings, or how they sound in a live context. I understand there are other brands with pedals at a similar price point to these, not aware of which ones they are, or which of those would be worth a look.

Any leads or advice greatly appreciated.

I'm still searching for the perfect fuzz, tried a Big Muff clone, and have currently got a Vox Trike octave fuzz and its a bit too touchy, small changes in dials make big sound changes. Some of the Walrus Audio ones sound good in the demo's but are above your spend limit.
    My advice...Youtube.

I was going to suggest an EH Big Muff Pi Nano. I have one and they have a great sound. They were only £60 a couple of years ago, but the Aus price seems to be significantly higher than exchange rates would allow for, and are currently in the AUD$160-$170 region.

No experience with Mooer or Moen or similar cheap fuzz units. Cheapest fuzz I could find is the TC Electronic Honey Pot fuzz. Don't be fooled by the TC name, this is a repackaged Behringer pedal in a sturdier housing, as both Behringer and TC are now part of the Music Group umbrella.

It's not quite as nice (IMO) as the EH BMP nano, but it is half the price and makes a reasonable fuzz sound.

I have an Hotone Xtomp Mini which has a few fuzz pedal images in its library. For me they sound fairly decent. I just ordered another Xtomp Mini from AliExpress for just under $100 AUD.
They're a bit fiddly for changing pedal images but I like having the six individual knobs with LEDs. Much easier than the majority of IR multi-effect pedals.

The TC pedals are actually pretty good, but I'd personally go for the Rusty Fuzz over the Honey Pot
