    Sixty Six??

I'd love to see a kit in the style of the new Fender sixty six. It's essentially a guitar, with a j-bass shaped body. They're super sharp, but aren't offered in the finishes/pickup configuration I'd like to see.

Maybe a JM-1 kit would get pretty close?

Almost a year later but I'd be interested in this. Really like the jbass body and I could see it working with nearly any pickup combination too. Thinking SSS at the moment but that's just because I'm knocking around ideas for a SSS build later anyway.

Seems like it would be a doable custom kit, one of the J style bass bodies, maybe with no routes apart from the neck pocket and an F style neck would get you part of the way there.

AIUI the 66 is a good bit smaller than the JB body. It would be cool to have a 66 shaped body on my Squier Strat, it's something I should investigate.

A short scale jbass style body might be a good starting point for a custom if it's available, since the body should be a little smaller. I only saw p style short scales last I looked though, so I doubt it's a custom option.
