    IB-6 first build

This was my first PB kit. An IB-6 bass guitar for a friend.

The purple stain was just 2 bottles of food colouring/flavouring from Woolies. Red colouring and watermelon (blue) flavouring. The clearcoat was 3 cans of Cabot's.
I did this about 6 months ago and you can still smell the watermelon faintly around the pickups and neck pocket.

Yes there are 2 light fittings in that room. In the first photo the reflection near the neck pickup is one of them and the other one is to the left of the bridge. You can also see the reflection of the air duct to the left between the pickups.
In the second photo I didn't notice the reflection around the neck pickup until now. That's the light fitting too.
I'd like to get it back from my friend and sand it a bit flatter and buff it again.
