Leading up to Halloween is a good time to purchase fabric. Lots of spooky themes.

Very true - didn’t really cross my mind - actually was trying to find something with a pattern on it but ended up likening this when I was there

It will look very cool. You may want to start honing those Jerry Garcia licks now ;-)

    First attempt at the body

So with the body sanded flat it’s time to try and bond the fabric to the wood and start this build.

So basic method was use some wood glue to stick the fabric onto the body of the guitar and then a small layer of epoxy on top.

Let’s see how this turns out

Fabric is a great idea. I once covered a Les Paul hollow body with green velvet and was planning on doing a Tele-style in denim at some stage but haven't gotten around to it.
I never thought of doing a layer of epoxy on top. That's going to look awesome.

Well growing up is highly overrated, I love it!

Someone did an Asian, lely/jasmin pattern recently, turned out great! Can't wait to see yours.
