    tuning peg trouble

hi im having trouble putting on the tuning pegs. The problem is that when i checked that they fit.

i noticed they were different sizes. also what are the numbers on the tuning pegs for. The numbers on my pegs are R1,R1,R3,R5,R6,R7. Is there a specific order they go in?

Maybe some photos and some info on the kind/brand of tuners would help us shed some light on the issue for you. I know the markings on Grover tuners are just the mould/cast numbers so they can QC any issues. But if your saying yours are different sizes, then there may be more at play.

Some pics might help. I'm not sure that pbg supplied tuners are different sizes - but I could very well be wrong.

if they are six in line and different hights, could be some sets now have staggered tuners. Goes from tallest at the nut end to shortest towards end of headstock. But as folks say pics help.

This what I was thinking also, hence my question on which kit.

Sorry, can’t help you there. The tuners and tuner screws are the one upgrade I always make to any kit. The factory ones are at best inconsistent, and at worst unusable.
