Setting a sticker in the lacquer

I was wondering how viable it would be placing a sticker on the final coast of paint and then lacquering over the top of it? I'm planning on buying a can or two of satin nitro to do as my clear coat, but I'm hoping to use a sticker of Peter Steele as a tribute and I don't want to deal with the usual sticker shenanigans that happen when they start to get old and peel off. Sorry if this has been covered before, I've seen threads about decals, but not proper stickers that may have some visible thickness to them.

That should work fine, but I would do a test to make sure the nitro doesn't react with the sticker ink. We two pack over stuff printed both on a solvent and UV inks and it's fine.

Like any decal or vinyl you just need to build up sufficient clears to be able to be able to block it back flat.

Ahh, thanks for clarifying that, I'll spray some nitro in a bit of plastic and rub some of it on a small bit of the sticker with a Q-tip, see if it causes any issues.
