Just stumbled onto this post, and that bass is a showstopper. Thanks for sharing it. And thanks for the drummer jokes from a year ago. When my band resumes in the spring (northern hemi), I am sure to put them to good use.
Looks great Frankie.
Curious to know how you setup the electronics? Looks like 3 knobs J Bass style but cannot make out what you ended up doing with the 4th hole?
The J pickups will probably sound sweeter than the soapbar humbuckers that usually come with this kit.

The Fourth hole is just a hole at this point Waz. There are some serious clearance issues with the jack position even the small alpha pots won’t clear it. I contemplated an LED, or filling it but in the end I didn’t do anything.

Would a small mini dpdt toggle switch that could act as a typical 3 way switch fit?
A tele cup socket & jack may have given you a bit more room to work with. I have used them on both Tele's and the MMB4 and found they did a great job in tight places.

potentially Waz, but it’s not really a biggie at the moment. I will likely end up fitting the second tone pot, it will just require some additional very careful routing to drop the pot a bit deeper. I’ll probably still need to insulate one from t’other. Or, I’ll just bung it up and refinish.

How does it sound?
Fiver's are a bit unusual to begin with as that low B seems to just get in the way or acts as a good thumb rest until you figure out what it can do.
Playing in 5th to 7th position is a good place to hang out as that lets you get down to a low fretted E and helps you become accustomed to the additional stretch before venturing down for some of the lower notes down near the nut.
As others have hinted at, Bass can be broken down into a lot of patterns that are transfered up and down the neck as well as across the strings, hence why most go for a high C rather than a high B on a 6 string Bass. Also nothing stopping you from keeping traditional low EADG and run high B or C on a fiver. It all depends on how you want to use the extended range, for lower or higher notes.
