TLB4M - Finally getting around to building this one

    Hi,

I've probably had this kit for over a year trying to decide what I wanted to do with it. It came to me one night recently in a flash of (drunken) inspiration and a few mouse clicks later the build was underway.

Biggest decision was the pickup as routes have to be done from scratch with this kit. Went with a Nordstrand MM humbucker with the matching 3 band active pre. Next came the Babicz full contact bridge. Hipshot ultralite tuners and a blank tele control plate to take the 3 knobs. Olympic white Nitro to finish.

    Have already Tru-Oiled the neck.

A mate is helping me with the pickup route, we should be done with that this week.

    A few mockup shots.

    Cheers,

Are you going to stick with the pick guard? If you do would you consider reshaping it to remove the unnecessary bridge cut?

I am contemplating the pickguard question. I have a sheet of 3 ply wbw that I thought of using. Still not 100% sure if I want a pickguard at all. Will see how it looks once I've got some finish on it.
