I've always wanted a Tele Deluxe. The first time I ever got to play a proper rock and roll setup was with a stock, black Deluxe through a JCM 800 halfstack. I'm friends with the guy who worked there at the time now.. I was like, 13 at the time. I didn't know much then, other than how much I wanted to be guitarist. So, no mistake that this was the closest I can get to that guitar, as there's really no way I could afford one of the ones I played back then! I think that with a lot of patience, measuring and being careful, I can make something that really plays well, and will be a bit unique as well. Since the pickups in the kit aren't going to be all that similar to the tone of the "wide range" fenders' - I have ordered some additional ones. GFS retrotron Liverpool are what I've chosen. They won't be the same either, but they have a similar output level, and are alnico magnets. So, we'll see. I'll be posting a pre-build inventory check, and a mockup build. Thanks for viewing.
