    12°C as a working environment is cold for us Brits as well. 'Comfortable' is rather tongue-in-cheek.

    I'm one of those people who would always rather be too cold than too hot so 12-15 is genuinely comfortable for me. Hence i'm currently standing in the vestibule of the train because it's too damn hot to sit in the carriage.

    I'll download a core temp checker of some kind just to be sure. Any recommendations?

    This is what I use. It's important for my work because I primarily use Illustrator and it can only utilise one core at a time. So I'll have 5 at idle and one cooking it's head off. Very annoying, but it has to do with the way vector graphics are handled at a hardware level.
