Hey guys. I’m kind of an idiot when it comes to this whole guitar building stuff. I’ve been watching a bunch of builds here, and really loving what you guys are doing.
Problem is. The bushings are far too small for the holes pre drilled on the guitar. I’ve been looking around the internet and banging my head against the wall. Are there larger bushings out there that will fit the m5 adjustment pegs? Is there some kind of adapter.
Question, do the new adjustment pegs fit into the original bushings supplied with the kit? Or does the new bridge fit onto the original pegs supplied with the kit?
Neither. The bushings that came with the kit are too large for the pins that came with the roller bridge. And the adjustment screws that came with the kit are too large for the bridge.
No access to a lathe sadly. The other route is could anyone recommend a decent roller bridge that will fit the gr 1sf posts? This was the only one I found that didn’t see me to be Chinese junk and also have a 12 inch radius. I bought one of the Chinese ones and the rollers are all stuck and the saddles were all stuck.
Surely there must be one or two lathe owners in our midst.
My mate has a lathe and was an incredible machinist until he had a debate with the rear end of a hilux on his motorbike, major brain damage was the result
