I have been working on the headstock last couple of weeks.
While working on the guitar, she said her name was Sunbird, I said: Alright!
Been going over name decals and some how it was not suiting, then she said: Feathers...?!
There we went, waterslide decal paper and a couple of attempts later this is the result. Still need some tidying up to do.
That. Is. Epic. That's a really different treatment and i think it's worked really well against that dark veneer. Great Job!

Thanks FrankenWashie!
4 spray cans later, it is time to sit back for 3 weeks and wait for it to cure.
Choosing to leave out the pickguard has present some challenges, first with the pick up, then with a little high spot in the veneer.
I hope the coats will cover and I don't burn through, fingers crossed.
First spray can I applyed more like a mist, bit of a waste of the can, but hey, you learn along the way :-).
That is AWESOME!!!!! No other words to describe it
Looking good Rolf! Very creative headstock design.
Making the world a better place; one guitar at a time...
Wow looks amazing! How many coats did you do if you used 4 spray cans
Amazing. Truly amazing.
I'd guess about 12 overall. I normally seem to get three full body coats per can, but that does involve going back over an area a few times per coat, so it's hard to be really accurate. And 2" inches/5cm difference in nozzle distance from the body will make quite a difference as to coat depth as well.
