It may be that your whole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others
I picked up a 6 string lefty bass (IB-6S) for my first ever kit and my first bass. I was very happy with the spalted maple veneer but wanted it top be a little darker and pop well so after sanding I fumed the body and neck in an low concentration ammonia tent for a week then finished it with linseed oil. I love how it turned out, it's exactly what i was hoping for. Next time ill have to try a kit that I'll want to colour a little.
It took a little over a month to finish thanks to the fuming process and how smooth I wanted everything to be from sanding but it was well worth the wait. Thanks for having options for lefties.

Never mind. I was so excited that I didn't see you'd already posted this information.
