Yes. There are 3 tabs on the cover. One of them was soldered. There's also a tremendous amount of wax that makes it challenging to remove the cover without damaging the fragile copper wire.

Heating it up with a hair dryer normally melts/softens the wax enough to remove the cover without the wax pulling at the coil. Don't overdo it though, or you'll lose all the wax potting for the coil.
