Not much update for a while, as I have been touching up and fixing the edge on and off last 2 weeks, and I am finally happy with the shape. Have since cut out the pickup and control cavity and start clear coating.

While I was waiting for HVLP spray gun to arrived, I have decided to use my airbrush to do the clear coat, to my surprise it turn out really nicely, yes takes a little longer, and you have dilute the clear a little, but it breaks up nicely and less prone to over spray. If you have a airbrush at home is worth a try.

After 2 months of work, I have finally finished this project. Was a big learning curve but have to say I really enjoy it. You really feel the connection playing the instrument you build yourself. Is time to take a break and play some music

Hopefully you’ll post a sound demo. It’s a great looking guitar, take a bow.

Hey Kac, I am very late to your party.
Damn she is a beauty! Well done!

I was wondering, how did the clear coat went over the fabric, did it take a lot to soak her? Have you thought about doing the top with epoxy resin?

Mate, that is effing stunning! Nice job!

I have a few questions for you:

What glue did you use under the fabric?
What is the clear resin you used, and how did you apply it?
And, how did you end up finishing off the fabric edge? It looks seamless as far as I can tell!

Glade you notice the upgrade, the neck pickup is a Fender noiseless, and bridge pickup is a ToneRider Hot Classics.

You are not wrong, it is epoxy resin, first layer is to very thin layer to seal the fabric, then a flood coat to finish off. I also spray the top with poly when I was finishing the back of the aguitar.
