    I've got an acoustic made of Bunya, not sure how it would translate into a solid body though.

    Yes, I'm aware they're two different guitars. If you look at the QLD Maple tele, the metal block from the vibrato bridge is exposed through the back acting as a string-through.

    I could be wrong, but I rekon that is a string through ferrule plate, not the trem block.

    Aha! I think you're right Bakersdozen. I should have looked closer, although I didn't know such a thing existed!

    Schaller use these with their Hannes series bridges. They are good but you need to rout really accurately for them, or be very handy with fine chisels.

    The one pictured in the Tele is from Grainger guitar parts in the uk. They also make a master template set for accurate routing. Have a couple of there bridges and they make some stunning guitars
