Thread: (Not) The King's Amp Tilt Mod

(Not) The King's Amp Tilt Mod

Can't resist a bargain so when I saw this @ Camberwell Cash Converters it was a no brainer.
Vox Pathfinder 10 for the princely figure of $60.
Missing the Vox badge but it's all about the sound.

Perusing youtube stumbled upon a neat (and cheap) idea instead of an amp stand.

Angled the bottom and glued sandpaper to the bottom edge for grip.
I'll refine it at some stage to blend it in.

    cheers, Mark.

I've got one of these, they are nice little amps. That 'gold' strip on the front tends to fall off as well, but they do sound pretty good.

I've been jamming with a mate running his keyboard through the bass version and it's plenty loud for just the two of us in the shed.

Cheers Sonic, yes it's quite loud enough for in the front room.
I did the notorious 'LED mod' and it's even louder than it was.
I intend to take it out busking soon (instead of my usual instrument) and I reckon it's plenty loud enough.

    cheers, Mark.

I prefer the term 'adopted' hehe.
To absolve my conscience , here's the original video that got me started.

Ahem, yes, that's the word I was looking for...
Not sure my amp has enough wood at the top for it work for me though. Will need to look properly when I go into the garage.

    Thanks for the tip.
Now if I had a 3D printer I'd be thinking along the lines of personalising one.

    cheers, Mark.

Rather than start a new thread.

Decided to re-purpose the Vox tilt mod onto my Boss Katana 50.
1.2m Length of 40mm X 12mm pine cut to width.
    2 X Zenith 38mm L brackets to mount it.
Good ol' matt black spray paint and voila!!
