    Every Guitar Shape Ever [Discussion]

Okay, so 270-odd guitars later, the "Every Guitar Shape Ever" reference thread is up. To try and keep it clean, I'm starting this so there's a place to discuss the contents.

First off, my favourite by far is this "BC Rich" that somebody found on AliExpress:
    Attachment 30889

It looks like someone took a Jackson Warrior template, rotated it 45 degrees and then copy/pasted a Breadwinner over the top of it. Just absurd. And then stuck a BC Rich logo on it because "BC Riches be crazy".

Of the ones that might actually work as a guitar, the Quest Manhattan:
    Attachment 30827

    And the Orpheus:
    Attachment 30800

Are my pick for form and function. They look killer, but I can also appreciate the practical design of them.

I wish you had started this thread first G-Axe and I wouldn't have posted in the other one

    Hmm.

No Burns Bison, Shergold Masquarader, Maton L200, Ned Callan, also the Burns model that The Shadows played for a few years. Plus the new Shergold that is now made by Patrick Eggle, Not a fan of it but been told it's a pretty decent axe.

Uli Jon Roth's Sky guitar is another very unique item

None of those would be mistaken for something else

Jon Buckland posts over on TDPRI

That one was a surprise for me. Quite a tasteful guitar, reminiscent of a PRS McCarty - and made by BC Rich of all people!!

As cars are my other vice, I found this bloke that makes some unique guitars.

Yeah, I like that one too. The 70s BC Riches are a bit more subtle than the super pointy stuff from the 80s and beyond.

Just added the ones I mentioned in the other thread.

I had others but there were cross overs in design or those of antiquity were ignored as they unlikely to ever be seen

Just added a few Fican guitar images.

Fican Guitars are a one man operation here in Sydney and the guitars have some interesting innovations, particularly the Tornado.

Stuart has just come back from doing the rounds of the European guitar shows and seems to expand the market a bit every year.

I have no connection with the company or Stuart, just think he is doing a brilliant job getting them out there, he's a mobile mechanic by day and a gigging solo singer guitarist / guitar builder by night

Geez, there were a lot of contenders for ugly guitar thread.
Surprisingly couldn't see many Ibanez, maybe because a lot of their post law suit era were still very close to the copies, such as Destroyer, Artist, and Performer. I know you weren't doing Basses but their 'Eagle' was just elongated horns on a Fender shape.
It would be interesting to do a poll as to which of these unique shapes was most popular or desirable?
