    Green Finish For Maple Top

Hi Guys, I'm looking to do a finish on a maple top which has a grain similar to pic below, and want to achieve a colour like PRS use called Trampas Green. Any ideas on products that i should look at to begin with? I assume i'll need some sort of black to help accent the grain then need to mix up a weak olive like colour?

Man, I dig that flame maple headstock veneer on that PRS!!! Drooool...

Maybe you could get a similar color mixing up some keda dyes? Would take some trial and error tho. Not sure how it would translate to the sample of maple you showed though.

Thanks for that, will check out the kea dyes. Yeah not sure either, given its like a plain grain style. Its not actually a vaneerr, but a two piece body where the top is maple and bottom is mahogany, semi hollow body.

Was thinking of maybe tru oil on the back and sides but looking for something to just complement the maple fretboard. Didn't want the entire top to be bland but don't want an out there overpowering colour either. The neck is mahogany along with headstock.

That's why i liked the PRS sample shown as the colour is really subtle.
