    Yikes.... any suggestions on how to tackle this as it's a veneer??

    The prescribed method is clean small headed wire brush and goof off, but on a thin veneer you’d have to be really light touch on it.

    Thanks guys. I'll start with the tooth brush.

    Not tomorrow though, I stubbed my toe wandering around in the dark last night (bathroom visit) and think it's broken.... ouch!!

    Make sure the tooth brush is white bristles only

    1st stain coat. FeastWatson Golden Teak.

    Trying a slightly different technique (under the guidance of an American luthier)

    1st coat of blue over a dash of amber between the pups and a slash of red across the bottom.



    A very light sand then another blue coat, this time feathering with the red coat.



    Another sand, 400grit.


    And another coat of blue all over.
