Silly idea... Tele with built in amp and speakers

    Hello all,
Here's a silly idea I have had for a little while, a guitar with a built in amp, effects and speakers which might be loud enough to play with a drummer at rehearsal. So now I'm going to give it a go.
This is what I've started with, a broken Korg Pandora PX 2, a digital 6w 5v amp and a phone battery backup. 6w doesn't sound like much, but these digital amps are extraordinarily efficient so it should have some legs.
For speakers I have ordered a pair of 4" ultra slimline caravan speakers which have decent magnets and are thinner than the body.
I wonder if this will work?!

Not a new concept but interesting none the less.

Thanks guys! I'm planning on getting one speaker facing forward and another back so I can get them both running. To get some decent sound I'll try to seal the speaker cavities and make the cavity as big as possible whilst still maintains strength. The ash body should help!

I didn't know what a variax was until I looked it up!
I'm hoping for enough volume out of the guitar itself to play, not just an effects box (although that's where the idea started!)
The zoom has two faulty plugs, in and out, but the pcb is ok so when I solder the connections direct to it it should be ok.
I'm hoping the speakers will be loud enough to shout over a drummer, let's see!
