Too much grain to be hiding under a dark colour and presume end grain would be spectacular. The body is screaming out for a bright vibrant colour!

May not be bright and vibrant but the 3 tone sunburst is getting there. Outer edge, clear and polish still to go. Will show the progress/process when its complete.

What I can say at the moment is I'm loving working with Nitro. Seems so much easier to use and goes on better than any acrylic I've used. May just be down to better quality aerosols, who knows.

You’ve my admiration on that. Having tried a hand rubbed burst on the FrankenReso it’s a massive fail, so we will have to rub it all back and try again.
Would you consider the kit value for money? Is it easy to use?

value for money is all very subjective isn't it. If you dont mind dropping $200 on a guitar finish then yes absolutely. I will say if I'm spraying anything else in the future it would be Nitro as a first choice.

I think its easy to use, yes.

Here's a Work in progress pick, will be doing thin black border on the weekend.

Looking really nice, bursts are frustrating, but worth it. I had to sand back my first attempt on my EX1 as i wasnt happy, but now I am satisfied

I am there with my ESR-1. Will find some time to sand it back and have another go. I am thinking it might be easier to do the honey and the JAPAN brown in stain, clear it and then shoot the back edges in paint and clear over that.
