Thread: Wiring for the ESR-1 Resonator kit

Wiring for the ESR-1 Resonator kit

Have a customer with an ESR-1 who needs help with the Piezo pickup.

I recall it was supposed to plug into on of the pots, but on some (or most) of the kits, there was no input on any of the pots.

Anyone recall the fix for the Piezo pickup on the ESR-1?

    Thanks
    Cheers,

    Adam

You need to either get a pre amp, or there is a circuit that Corksniffer used that works well.
i think there’s a copy of the circuit diagram on his build thread.

There's a problem with site-hosted photos at the moment. I've raised it in 'Feedback' and Darren is looking into it. Remotely hosted photos seem to display OK though.

Yeah mate, send me a PM, or take a look at Corksniffer's Build thread:

    https://www.buildyourownguitar.com.a...orksniffer%27s

the diagram is shown in post #17 on page 2.

the circuit i am using is shown here post #61, page 7

The key difference is Corksniffer's is finished and working, without pre-amp. Mine is still in the works, and the circuit is as yet untested.
(I get distracted....a LOT and often!), I have only just put sanding sealer on the body, and have yet to manufacture a new face plate for my frankenhacked Fishman pre amp.

    Hi,
I am about to start one of these that Adam dug out of the warehouse for me. Did anyone come up with a wiring diagram ? At a loss as to how to connect that piezo pickup.
    Cheers,
    Scott
