    What colour is this?

    Gday all,

I'm going to try an get an approximation of this with Dye on a hard tail Strat kit I have just ordered.

Looking at either wudtone or colortone dyes, unless someone has a better idea.

What would you best guess on the center color be?

Depends on the timber used but that Feast & Watson Golden Teak looks the Biz if using Basswood or maybe Alder, not so sure on Ash.

It's going to be an amber tint lacquer, so not as easy to do with a dye. Stew-Mac spray method FYI. https://www.stewmac.com/How-To/Onlin...osol_cans.html

They are doing a later 60s 3-colour sunburst, but an original 50s was 2-colour black and amber with a bit more feathering of the black out towards the amber.

Cheers for the input folks, I might go buy some of the feast and watson samples on the weekend and have a play, but probably leaning towards colortone vintage amber.
