    Smile what have i done

So my acoustic guitar has been in storage for some 20years (long story) & recent events have guided me back to her. In the process of relearning (self taught) & dealing with my clumsy & sore fingers. I somehow thought it be a good idea to build a new guitar as to buying one. As I was looking I opted to build 2. Crazy i know.

So in advance I apologise for silly questions i will be asking. Apart from being able to tune my guitar I truly know jack S---! also have no tools well a screw driver, wire cutters & hammer.

    Oh well here i go.

Good luck, man. I'm basically doing my build with only a coping saw, dremel, drill and some sand paper.....

Only 2? I marvel at your restraint.

Welcome to the Forum! some key points to remember:

1, The only silly question is the one you had, that you didn't ask before flying in and stuffing something up
2, There is nothing you can stuff up that someone hasn't already stuffed up, sworn over, cried a wee bit, and then found a fix for.
3, There is always a workaround!

There are a bunch of very experienced builders, some incredible craftspeople, some talented woodworkers and some wonderfully helpful people here, so share and ask as you need. Help is always at hand !

Keen to see what you are planning on building, best of luck with it!

You know Jack S. as well? We have a mutual friend. Never before has there been a better time to research a subject you know nothing about thanks to the internet. Combine that with the friendly help on this forum and you’ll be right.

Ok not a forum or Facebook person so I'm still getting my head around this... reading the FAQ when i get a chance. Thanks for the welcome guys much appreciated. I've gone with the TL-12S Spalted maple & STA-1Ash body. Always wanted a 12 string as well as a ST, building these will force a steep learning curve. I also have my sights set on a AGM-1 but i need to restrain myself & finish one. I'm super anxious about doing this but hey, life is a ride. When it all gets here i'll guess i'll be starting a build diary. Diary now there's a first...
