    Hi BuffaloGhost,
I'm looking forward to seeing yours evolve.
I'm having problems with electronics at the moment.

    Hi Adam,
I'll look into the rolling bridge, thanks.
I'm having problems with the electronics. Just getting a lot of hum and nothing else. i saw Shazzrandom's Youtube on her gr-1sf build and she said she had to redo it all with shielded wires to lose the hum. What did you use? Any tips?
    Cheers

Oh no paolo! Anything serious? Or just annoying? I’ve got this all to look forward to.

I do have some very good electrical wiring technicians I can call on. But I kinda want to do it all myself.

    Yep.
Can't get rid of the loud Hum. I don't even get a tap sound when I tap the pickups. Have checked, and redone joins without any luck.
having searched online and the forum, I think I'm going to order some braided shielded wire and do it all again. But am thinking surely they wouldn't supply un-sheilded wires if it didn't work?

That does sound strange. And it’s all earthed correctly to the bridge? That’s the only thing I could think of that would cause a huge hum.

I’m sure someone will have better feedback than me though. Hang in there dude.

    WIRING HUM! Need Help please.
Very frustrated today as after the 3rd wiring attempt I still have the Hum! No idea why. Each attempt I have changed wires, added shielded wire, and on last attempt changed pots and switch. No change. Except my soldering improved.

    Here's what's happening:
Turning the Master Tone pot to zero removes hum, even with Master Vol on high. is this a clue?
Hum reduces when I touch components.
Hum increases when I touch the cloth covered hot wires

I have vintage shielded wire from Master Tone to Master Vol. And from Master Tone to Jack.
    Other wires are cloth covered.
    Hopefully someone can suggest something.

Hey paolo i had a similar problem and it was a grounding issue, but finding it is the difficult bit. Good luck

Hi Paolo, Have you got an earth wire grounded to the bridge?

Grab an wire with two alligator clips and try grounding the the bridge, quick way to see if that's an issue.

if its a hum that disappears when you touch the wires it sounds like an earth - when you touch that wire YOU effectively earth the wire.. hope you manage to sort it.

    Hi Andy,
I haven't installed the wiring into the body yet. The loom is still on the piece of cardboard with pickups in position and there is a ground wire from a pot to the bridge. But no strings etc.
