Have you got Wood? Do you need Good Wood? Check out this Wood.

There are a number of us tinkering with scratch builds, special mods or drop tops.

I thought it might be an idea to post links to some specialist Wood Suppliers. Some of these may be known to people, some may not.

https://guitartimbers.com/ - Maleny QLD (Have yet to personally use, but it will happen. Damned Igor!)

http://anagote.com/ - Marrickville, NSW (Wide selection, will cut specific lengths, GREAT SCRAP BIN!)

http://crescenttimber.com.au/ - Annandale, NSW (an actual lumber yard, great stock but you have to buy whole lengths)

https://www.ebay.com.au/str/maxsawdust QLD (eBay Store, but quality stuff, I have used for a while now)

https://www.curlytimbers.com.au/ - Daylesford VIC (I have bought through their eBay store, some very nice stuff)

http://www.wheelerguitars.com.au/ - Botany NSW (Neck blanks, drop tops, binding etc Very Helpful and hugely knowledgeable.

Feel free to add to this and provide vendors in your part of the world, lets add to the hive knowledge!

I've been checking out that guitar timbers site in Maleny for a while now. It's pretty close to me and it's somewhere the better half enjoys visiting. Its definitely ear marked for a look IRL a some point.

Dave Linton in Maleny has awesome product and generally has a hell of a lot of other timber than on his site. Really passionate about timber and loves a chat. Highly recomend

Out on the west coast of Canada I've got some good stuff from Artisan Wood To Works. They have a great selection of quality and unique woods for all types of guitars, plus other uses as well.

I've also got some great veneers from Lee Valley Tools.

I should have put a warning on that one. Resistance is futile.

Curly Timbers is one of the suppliers used by Fenech Guitars and the Gold Coast Guitar Making School where I built my acoustic. I'm pretty sure my blackwood set came from there.

Zandit, i love the result you got with that acoustic build and the thread that went with it. Building an acoustic is a prime goal, and then an archtop. I'm not really in a position timewise at this point to be able to tackle on just yet.
I also have one or two projects that need completing.....Damned Igor...
