Hopefully the incoming Jazzmaster neck pickup will remove any requirement for a scratch plate and the full natural beauty will feature in full. My wife saw the kit months ago and said something like "I don't care how much, BUY IT!!!"

Today the neck pickup routing was modified to take a Jazzmaster.
Question, two possible ways to fit the pickup one with wires direct to the pre drilled hole (as shown in both photos), the other will have the wires looping under pickup back to the pre drilled hole. If it matters how do I check the correct orientation?

I’m not sure if there is an orientation to a JM pickup. The pole pieces are all the same height, so really it is a matter of what fits best.

    Thanks for comment.
I have been assured from a respectable source that this pickup does NOT have any particular orientation, IE no low "E" or high "e" end. Just fit according to ease of tracking the wires.
