    ESP F-series shapes?

Would the shape of the ESP f-series guitars (or something similar) be at all doable? Looking for a more standard shape but with some aggression added in.

I saw how the luthiers in ESP custom shop take a standard body and actually cut out and add/glue/screw pointy bits to standard shapes on solid colour customs. Could be a simple work around

I would love to know how to do it, however I don't think I have the tools or confidence to try that myself yet. The design I was thinking was very similar to the picture I included, not usually a big fan of natural wood tone finishes (well, not all of it's natural but you know, not red or green stains for example) but I think that F-series bass has the most beautiful aesthetic I've seen since Lemmy's Rickenbacker.

I've also noticed that the store currently doesn't have any standard shaped (looking that the IB models in particular) 4 stringers with humbuckers.

I really love that style of guitar - would love a kit like that, but also pretty keen to have a crack at one myself

Yeah, IB5 is the closest match yet YB4 could be hacked up to look similar. Downside is Basswood on YB4 compared to Ash on IB5.

Yeah, that is true. However if the F-series shape isn't possible a 4 string IB would definitely be something I'd pay for.

Custom order as the only modification required is a narrower neck & neck pocket. Pickups might look a bit large as they are aimed at 5 string setup, otherwise doable.
