Thread: JM-1 The King's 2nd PitBull build

Looking at how much you've done in a couple of days, I'm pretty sure this will be finished well before mine, so you can still be the first to complete a green one.

Might need to adjust your pickguard template to suit the bridge/trem setup that you go with.
    Cool build, will enjoy following.

I did something similar on my Jazzy with the one piece pick guard, keeps it nice and clean looking.

    Hi Grant.
I finally bit the bullet and ordered a Jazzmaster style tremolo off ebay so it will be on a slow boat from China.
I'll definitely wait for it's arrival before finalising the pickguard placement.

I predict this will be a similar time-frame to my first build.
A flurry of activity working it into a guitar shape and getting it playing...
Time then slows right down as the 'finishing' stage kick's in.

Meanwhile I'm keen to see how your's comes to fruition.

Yes!! That's the one!!....but mine will be somewhat plainer in comparison.

    cheers, Mark.

    More Progress.

Will probably have another go at veneer rather than paint.
Rasp took a small chip out of the lower curve but some maple plastic wood will fix that.

    Swimming Pool extended.
I'll see if I need to extend the 2 trenches when the pickup install is imminent.

    cheers, Mark.

    Thanks Frankie and Sonic.
    Here comes an hiatus.
Can't do any work on the body until the bridge/tremolo arrives from China.
No progress on the neck until the maple veneer arrives.
I guess I could start messing around with the headstock logo.

    cheers, Mark.
